I’m sure you are aware, over the last 10 years the route to consumer market has changed for us all. We have owned a brick and mortar store in Carlsbad CA for over 33 years and understand this as much as anyone.
In view of this, we are initiating a ‘Brick and Mortar’ protection program for two reasons:
- To maintain brand strength of the Bird Kabob® line
Bird Kabobs® have been synonymous with quality, high repeat business, and a maintained selling price which we have determined will protect the value of the Bird Kabob® line of products.
- To protect margins for brick and mortar retailers
Internet based resellers have lower overheads and commonly ride the wave of sales with no allegiance to a brand or its long term success. We recognize internet sales are not going away, but we will be monitoring the internet and will take appropriate action to stop any unauthorized Bird Kabob® sales.
This is necessary to protect brick and mortar price levels, margins, and confidence.
By initiating this program, we hope to eliminate the possibility of customers passing on your sale, knowing they can get it “cheaper and easier online”.
